Since 2020
Halva opened in 2020 and had to close its doors right away when lockdown came. It survived and today is one of the most visited addresses on Białystok’s food map.
We cook dishes of the Crimean Tatars and of the Tatars from Navahrudak, plus Turkish and Arab classics. Traditional sweets wait in the counter, also to take away. Halva carries the Podlaskie Local Product mark and hosts cooking workshops.
“The food is exceptional, you won’t eat this well in many places. Every dish draws on traditional Tatar cooking: meaty, vegetable, fragrant, beautifully spiced.”
“The tartare is beyond words, I’ve never had better; the lamb kofta is masterful, the plov beef melts in your mouth. Desserts are a chapter of their own.”
